Betty was born February 28, 1932 in McGregor to Carl Porter Johnson and Ruby Iba Bradshaw. She worked for many years managing the family business Norman Steel Erection.
She also enjoyed spending time quilting, reading and attending any sporting event that her grandchildren were participating in. She loved attending A&M basketball and football games.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Thomas Norman, Sr.; brothers Bud Johnson, and Billy Johnson.
Survivors include her daughters Malinda Fuller of Elmendorf, Jann Stevens of Richmond; son James Thomas Norman, Jr. of Bryan; grandchildren Joseph, Jason and wife Jessica, Jonathan and Justin Fuller, Ashley and husband Brandon Williams, James Stevens, James T Norman III., Mark Norman, Stacie Norman and Christie Norman.
