Bonnie Sue Nevill Benbow passed away on April 12, 2026. She was born August 30, 1941, in Bryan, Texas, to Louise Wren Nevill and James Colly Nevill. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin high school in 1959 and retired after a long career with the Texas Employment Commission. Bonnie was a proud 6th generation Texan and was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Colonial Dames. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of her fondest memories were made in the Texas Hill Country hunting, fishing and antiquing with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Evan Benbow; daughter Cindy Kunz (Bruce); beloved grandchildren Landon Kunz and Dayton isbell (Mitchell); great grandchildren Thomas, Harper, Whitten and Beckett; sister Nancy Welch; and sister-in-law Diane Benbow.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 24 at 10:00 am at Alexander Cemetery.
