Consuelo "Connie" Tenorio Garcia, age 65, of College Station, Texas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Connie was born in Bryan, Texas on January 24, 1960 to Alejandro Tenorio and Apolonia Tenorio.
Connie was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring friend & sister and nurturing Nana. She was a dedicated Wal-Mart jewelry department employee for 28 years. After 28 years of tenure she had to leave because of health issues, otherwise she would still be there. She loved the sun and going to the beach. Any chance she got to be in the water she took advantage, although she could never quite got a tan. In her later years of life, she grew to love the game of football and basketball. She was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Golden State Warriors, and The All Mighty Fighting Texas Aggies, “Whoop, Gig’Em Aggies!”
Her #1 priority was her grandchildren. She cherished every special moment with her grand babies, who later grew to be her most prized possessions.
Connie was always teaching and spreading the word of the Lord to her grandkids. She was a spiritual light in a world of darkness. She could always brighten your heart with her smile. Connie was a very brave and strong wife, mother and sister. Although she endured many health setbacks, she never wavered in her faith in God. Throughout her battle with cancer, she always managed to keep her spirits high and check on others even before herself. Connie was a strong believer in the power of God creating miracles. Connie was blessed with numerous miracles throughout her medical journey. She was blessed to have never got Covid, when everyone else around her did. She was in remission twice and got to travel Nashville, Tennessee with her family to experience downtown Broadway.
Connie will live on through the family and friends who were blessed to know her. She is not leaving us with pain and sorrow; rather, she is teaching us to be humble to one another, to love each other, and not lose hope no matter what life brings you. As Connie would always say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.”
She was preceded in death by her parents Alejandro & Apolonia; nephew, Carlos J. Tenorio; and great grandson, Luciano Garcia.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond H. Garcia; children, Christopher J. Garcia (Julie) and Christian R. Garcia (Rene); grandchildren, Christopher J. Garcia Jr. (Payton), Mark Leal, Amber Garcia, Aaron Garcia, Laila Garcia, Allie Garcia, Esther Leal; great grandchildren, RJ Zavala and Zayn Zavala. As well as her sister, Rafaela Tenorio and brothers, Alex Tenorio (Maggie), Charlie Tenorio (Fay), Miguel Muniz (Josie).
