Geneva A. Martinez

Funeral mass will be held Friday October 28 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 27 from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Geneva was born July 5, 1947 in Bryan the daughter of Patrosino and Basilia (Sauseda) Alonzo. Geneva was a billing clerk for Lone Star Gas, then for B.T.U. retiring in 2009. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and very faithful to her hour of Adoration of prayer in the chapel. She volunteered many hours at the St. Vincent de Paul store. Family was very important to Geneva, she loved being at family gatherings, especially the holidays.

Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Lorenzo Alonzo.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lalo Martinez of Bryan; sister and brother-in-law, Rosie and Lupe Moncivais of Bryan; sister-in-law, Maria Alonzo of Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Alonzo, Chris Alonzo, Christian Contreras, Mark Carlos, Albert Moncivais and Raymond Orta, Jr.
