“Buck” Glen Mitchell was born March 21, 1956 to M.A. and Mackie (Rosier) Mitchell. He was the second of their six children, and even though he was the only boy, he would tell you that he “had it made!” He lived in the Bryan area all his life. After high school, he went to work at Frank’s Electric Motor Repair and stayed with them for almost fifty years. He loved karaoke, dancing, being outside, and watching old westerns. He was a master barbecue cook and was active at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Cookoff for many years, winning several awards for his barbecue. He was a loyal friend and always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed one.
He was welcomed into heaven by his Mama and Daddy, and his fiancée, Janice Eubank Matcek, among other loved ones.
He will be missed by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilon & Wesley Morris, Marita & Michael Astle, Pattie & Gary Sims, Roni & Guy Brewer, and Amy & Craig Gardner; along with a whole bunch of other close, loving family and friends.
The family would like to say thank you to Enhabit Home Health and Hospice Brazos Valley, and all the other medical professionals and support staff that have been with us through these last two years. 🤟🐸
