

Guadalupe Garcia passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2022 in the comfort of her home with family surrounding her. Also known as "Lupe" or “Momo Lupe” she lived her life to the fullest, enjoying many happy times with family and friends.
She was born in Franklin, Texas and moved to Bryan, Texas later in life. Guadalupe was a waitress at a local restaurant when she met her husband, Tony, and it was love at first sight. They were married and inseparable for 57 years.
Guadalupe loved cake decorating, making several delicious pastries for her loved ones and friends. Per request, she frequently made rosaries for church. Guadalupe spent most of her time surrounded by family and thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings. Her family was her pride and joy. She also loved to scratch lotto tickets and loved to create bouquets for weddings and quinceaneras. Guadalupe was an active member at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and firmly believed in the power of prayer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Ignacia Lopez; her brothers, Felix Lopez, Raymond Lopez, Doroteo Lopez, Angel Lopez, and Cande Lopez; and her sisters, Helena Garcia and Mary Quintero; grand-daughter, Crystal Morales.
She is survived by her husband, Tony; son, Anthony John Garcia, (wife Vicky); daughters, Marie Garcia, Dorothy Garcia, and Betty Garcia (husband Jose); and sisters, Hilda DeLeon, Margarita Lopez, and Irene Arevalo (husband Jimmie). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A visitation and recitation of the rosary will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan from 6-8 p.m. with rosary at 7 pm. Celebration of Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at 10:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
