

Jay Bob passed away December 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Jay Bob was born in Bryan, Texas May 18, 1960 to Albert and Dorothy Newcomb. Bryan was home to Jay Bob for 54 years. Jay Bob enjoyed life as a husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
Jay Bob was a true Texas Rancher and was proud of his service to the community during his years with the College Station Police Department.
Jay Bob enjoyed life to its fullest, but loved the days he was able to hunt or spend time fishing. Jay Bob felt every day at home with Elizabeth and the time he had to mentor his children was life’s greatest Blessing.
Jay Bob was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Dorothy Newcomb.
He is survived by the Love of his life, his wife Elizabeth Wilson Newcomb; children and grandchildren, son Ross Newcomb and wife Jessica, and their children, Jackson, Delaney, and Avery, daughter Caitlin Newcomb Nash and husband Philip and their son Liam, sons Austin Cobb, and Will Cobb, his wife Brittany and their daughter Kelby; two brothers, Jerry Newcomb and wife Deborah and their children Sidney and Shelby of The Woodlands, and Johnny Newcomb of Ft. Worth; and one sister, Janet Newcomb of Bryan.
Jay Bob’s memory will be honored by all who were privileged to know him.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Wilson Ranch Cemetery next to Kurten Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Zion Church of Kurten.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Church of Kurten, or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
