Mr. Britton was born in Bryan, Texas on August 15, 1933. During his 62 years of marriage he lived in Texas City, Houston and Cypress, Texas. He served in the National Guard from 1949-1958, and has been a member of the Adam Royder Masonic Lodge #778 since January 1957. He retired from a long career with Snap-On Tools in 1989. Mr. Britton was a member of Central Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, Oliver and Frankie Britton; and one brother, Bob Britton.
Mr. Britton leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Cornelia Britton; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Cathy Britton; three grandchildren, Taylor Brock and husband Austin, Drake Britton and wife Jackie, and Chance Britton.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, February 12 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A private family graveside will be held at Bryan City Cemetery with John Maurer officiating.
