Nick Patranella

A visitation for will be held on Monday March 10, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a rosary following at 7 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel, Bryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, March 11 at 10 AM at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church located at 401 S Parker Ave, Bryan Tx. Following the service, a burial will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.

Nick was born in Mumford, Texas to Frank Patranella and Carrie (Cuccia) Patranella, one of 10 children. Nick grew up the Mumford bottom and he often shared stories of picking cotton, hunting rabbits and fishing on the Brazos River. And don’t forget stirring up mischief with his brothers and sisters. Sundays lunches were often spent at his mother’s little two room farmhouse with all of his siblings and their families, with homemade suga and fresh bread from the oven.

Nick proudly served his country in the 147th infantry 37th division of the Army and served during the Korean War of 1953 through 1955 as a Private First Class.

Nick loved his wife and family without reservation or hesitation with unconditional love. It is a true testament to his life which he lived fully with humor and a smile.

He had a true connection with everyone in his circle, if you were his friend Then there is a definite story that made an impact on your life.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved daughter, Mary Jo Patranella; and six of his siblings, Frank Patranella, Johnny Patranella, Lucy Vacant, Rosie Quinn, Laura Salvaggio, Marie Stetz.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Josie Marie (Ruffino) Patranella; two daughters, Karen Patranella Pruitt and her children Melissa (Pruitt) Rodrigue, Aaron her husband and three children Brek, Mills, and Blayke, Heath Pruitt and his wife, Jessica (Hicks) Pruitt and their son Callen. Daughter, Loretta Patranella, and her daughter, Meredith Patranella Kristynik, her husband, Steven, and their children Laine, and Luke; his siblings, Charlie Patranella, Lena Williamson, Josephine Rochelle.
