

Ruby Overstreet, 86, of Bryan, formerly of Pasadena, TX, passed away March 27, 2012 at St. Joseph Regional Health Care Center in Bryan, TX.. Visitation will be Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 8:30 A.M. to Service Time at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral Services will begin at 10 A.M. Saturday at the Funeral Home with Reverend Monsignor John McCaffrey officiating. Graveside Services will be at 3 P.M. Saturday at San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston.
Mrs. Overstreet was a homemaker, who had worked during World War II in the Houston Shipyard as a welder. She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Overstreet in 1998, and her first husband, James H. Hudson in 1949.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Richard Ruffino of Bryan, and Anita and Aspy Canteenwalla of Longwood Florida; sister, Dorothy Suggs Connor of Pasadena, TX; brother and sister-in-law, James and Rose Suggs of Kingwood, TX; five grandchildren and their spouses, Melanie and Dwayne Skinner, John and Lynette Ruffino, Cyrus and Amanda Canteenwalla, Percy and Katie Canteenwalla, and Jimmy Canteenwalla; five great-grandchildren, Leanne (Skinner) and Jeff Kocian, Lisa Skinner, Austin Skinner, Jaclyn Ruffino and Lauren Ruffino; and numerous nieces and nephews..
The family has requested that memorials for Mrs. Overstreet be made to the St. Joseph Foundation, 2801 Franciscan Drive, Bryan, Texas 77802.
