Ruth Mary Hartley

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2 at Brazos Valley Church of Christ in College Station. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Burial will take place at a later date in Florida.

Ruth was born November 15, 1937 in Englewood, Colorado the daughter of Jilario and Charlcie Abenojar. Ruth met and married J.B. Harley, a Staff Segeant for the U.S. Air Force. She and J.B. moved and lived around the world wherever J.B. was to be stationed. After his service to our country they settled in Miami, Florida. Ruth was a school board member of Redland Christian Academy, a member of the South Florida Orchid Society and a member of Brazos Valley Church of Christ in College Station.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.B. Hartley; son, Jay Hartley; and a sister, Marylou Wagner.

She is survived by her daughter, Relaine Hartley; son, James Hartley; daughter, Rebecca Curry; son, Joseph Hartley; six grandchildren, James Brad Jacob Hartley, Kevin Andrew Hartley, Jacob Benjamin Hartley, Stephanie Hartley, Jay Hartley and Ian Hartley; eight great-grandchildren, Leah, Alexi, Jackson, Carmen, Kennedy, Ashlynn, Jamison, and Cali Oceana.
