

Shirley Wiese Richie, 76, of Normangee, formerly of Bryan, passed away Monday evening at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with Reverend Ronnie Lunsford officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Bryan.
Shirley was born June 17, 1935 in Jefferson County, Alabama to Mary Roberts Fitzpatrick and George Allison Lane. In 1960, she and her family settled in Iola, Texas. In 1990, she retired from Alenco in Bryan and began working full-time at Granny’s Ceramics, which she owned and operated. She loved to fish and cook, and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was very proud of the fact that she was baptized on Easter Sunday in 1955.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Henry Wiese, Sr., and her second husband Floyd Richie.
Shirley is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Henry and Shelly Wiese of Jewett, Texas, and Roy Lynn Wiese of College Station; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and James Adams of Normangee, and Shirlene and Jeff Ringer of North Zulch; beloved companion of 30 years, Tommy Leighman of Normangee, formerly of Bryan; ten grandchildren, Christel, Bradly, Annette, Brandon and his wife Nadine, Jonathan, Marissa, Aaron, and Dustin, James Danny, and David; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alivia, Jacob, and Cadeence; and numerous nieces and nephews.
