Anyone who met her remembers her beautiful blue eyes, healing hugs, sweet voice, hearty laughter, and the way she made every person feel special and cared for. She was a woman of faith and actively involved in her Lutheran church for many years, including teaching Sunday School.
She married her forever love, Bill Lawson, on May 15, 1989. Together, they were members of various clubs: the Road Cruisers Motorcycle Club, joining many runs as part of the pack; the Looney Duners, delighting in sand therapy as they rode the dunes of Glamis at full throttle, fostering a lifelong group of friends; and water-sports enthusiasts who enjoyed open seas, sandbar parties, river floats, and water skiing on glass-like waters. One of their most memorable family trips was to Lake Powell, where they were married.
Lois was a competitive card player and a longtime member of the T.O.B. (Tough Old Broads) Game Club. Our family shared many fun and wild memories around the card table, a cherished tradition. She also enjoyed creative crafts, from cake decorating to ceramics.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Though spread across the USA, she cherished every moment with her brother, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews—these gatherings fed her soul. She was a nurturing mom who adored being a grandma and later a “Great-Grandma.” Beyond her family, she was a kind and loyal friend, easy to talk to, with a fun sense of humor. She was fierce, tough, and stubborn—a true fighter with a “warrior spirit” that carried her through life’s hardest times.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Lawson; brother, Bob Paye (Theresa); daughter, Karen (Kevin); and sons, Ronnie (Jeri), Dennis (Lori), and Steven. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Ashlei, Seanny, Nikole, Emilee, Ronnie Jr., Tara, Victoria, Lauren, Katherine, Jennifer, and Samuel; and 9 great-grandchildren: Bella, Jameson, Preslei, Sylus, Baylee, Brianna, Preston, Elliot, and Sawyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Libby Paye, and grandson Christopher.
A memorial service will be held at Dimond & Sons Silver Bell Chapel, 2620 Silver Creek Rd, Bullhead City, AZ on December 12, 2025. Viewing 11am-1pm, Service 1pm-2pm. To honor her, the family invites you to wear purple, her favorite color, and/or share a favorite story about her during the service.
