Christine Thranow

Born September 20, 1914 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Christine was one of six children. She obtained several degrees from Immaculate Heart College and Loyola Marymount and used this education to give over 75 years of service to Catholic education throughout the Los Angeles Area. During this time she was also a member of the Immaculate Heart congregation for 35 years. Throughout the years Christine has made and maintained a close network of many friends. After retiring she served as a volunteer for St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, and the Discovery Shop in Toluca Lake, and in Riverside.

Christine is survived by her youngest sister, Sr. Yvonee Thranow, a member of the Daughters of Charity in Evansville, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 10800 Moorpark St., North Hollywood, CA, 91602. Christine’s 97th Birthday and will be celebrated by Msgr. Robert J Gallagher.
