Gloria Marie Calabrese was born in Everett, Massachusetts on May 29, 1930. The fifth of six children, Gloria's family moved out west when she was very young. Residing here in Southern California, Gloria met and married George, her husband of 57 years. Together they had four children; Michael, Rosemarie, Madeline and Alex. Gloria and George have been parishioners here at St. Finbar for 56 years. During this time, Gloria ran numerous committees including countless years of her famous sausage booth at the yearly Fiesta. She became known for not only those sandwiches but also her cakes and meatballs. In her retirement, Gloria enjoyed watching her family expand. She loved to cook, she loved family events and loved being a part of this community. Gloria is survived by her husband George, her four children and their spouses, three grandchildren, four step grandchildren, two sisters, several nieces and nephews and a cavalcade of loving friends. Gloria passed away here in North Hollywood on January 13, 2014. She was 83 years old.
