Irene O. Murgida

She was born in Lynn, Mass.on February 23, 1918 to parents Thomas and Antoinette Sideri. She was one of four daughters. She married the love of her life, Frank Murgida, in 1950. Irene and Frank loved to spend their time listening to music and the opera. She was retired from General Electric after 42 years.

Irene O Murgida is survived by her brother- in-law, John Rizzo, Sr., her nieces Anita Cristosi and Nancy Rizzo, her nephew John Rizzo, Jr., great and great-great nieces and nephews, long time family friend Eddie Saraceno, the entire Saraceno family, not to mention several friends from church, the St. Joseph’s Guild, and her opera gang.

A viewing will be held at Valley Funeral Home, on Friday, May 9, 2014 between 4pm-7pm at 2121 West Burbank Blvd., Burbank California. On Saturday, funeral will be held at Saint Frances Xavier Church at 1pm located at 3801 Scott Road, Burbank, California.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Guild.
