He was born to the late Simon Almaraz Sr and Lorenza Morales, August 19,1935 in La Guerra, Tx. He attend La Hoya High School. He was a mechanic. He was married to the late Rita Almaraz. He also leaves behind his partner Olga Castro.
Julian was survived by his five siblings. He was a father of eight, grandfather of 13, and great grandfather of 14.

Funeral will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 9:30am in the White Chapel Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills- 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, Ca 90068
Reception- will follow after the burial- all are welcome to come and share their memories of him
