

Melva Geraldine “Jerry” Hultquist was born on February 19, 1921 in Center Point, South Dakota to the late Frank & Inga Rogers. Jerry was a Sunday school teacher and a Secretary of LCW at St. Matthews in Glendale. She graduated from New berry Beauty College and worked as a cosmetologist for 13 years. She also loved and was excellent at roller skating.
On January 5, 1940 she was united in marriage to Donald Ferdinand Hultquist in Avoca, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with three children, Alice Carolyn, Gary Allen and Linden Boyd. After marriage, Don and Jerry lived in Dundee, where they owned and operated the Dundee Roller Rink until moving to Burbank, California in 1955. Since they both loved to travel, after retirement, they visited 42 countries and all 50 states.
Jerry is survived by her children, Alice Carolyn and her husband, Robert Ambrose of Burbank, CA; sons, Gary and his wife, Roseann of Penn Valley, CA; Linden and his wife, Judy of Lancaster, CA; 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; her brother Robert Dean Rogers of Pensacola, Fl.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Hultquist; parents, Frank and Inga Rogers; brothers, Earl Louis, Tilden Palmer (Jack), Donald Luverne, and Vilas Wilford Rogers; sisters, Agnes Viola Peterson Blair Erickson, Ilene Marjorie Parker, Betty Mae Ross.
