I've known Alvin since we started our company in 1996. He has been both a client and valued advisor. He always made us feel hopeful and comforted even in bad economic times. His gentle manner and easy smile will always be remembered fondly. Rest in peace Al. You will not be forgotten.

Alvin Dale was a client of mine who became a dear friend and would assist me in any way he could. I was his personal trainer for over 8 years until I moved to Portugal in 2023, hearing if his passing comes as a shock and I send my condolences to his family.

Al was one of the first Partners at DMCL I met in September 2009, just prior to joining the Firm as a Partner. He was a class guy and over the years, we developed a great relationship as friends as well as  mutual Partners. I really respected Al and will miss him dearly. I always looked forward to the Vegas Partners retreat after my retirement in 2015 and particularly golfing and dining with Al.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to all of the Dale family.

Dear Nadia, Justin & Matthew, 
Please accept our deepest condolences.  Alvin and I have been friends since the fall of 1970 where we met and instantly bonded. The following summer we traveled to Montreal. A lasting friendship of lunches, dinners, hockey games and weddings, including being the best man at our wedding over 40 years ago. Memories that will remain in our hearts. Alvin will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to Al's family, this is a huge loss for all of us.  

I have been very close to the senior partners at DMCL for many years and Alvin always welcomed me with open arms, a big smile and an offer to help out in any way.  I never took that for granted and I know that his offers were genuine and very sincere.  We had great fun at our social gatherings and Alvin and I always took the occasion for the two of us to step aside and have some good conversation which often involved some great belly laughs.

I will miss my friend but I assure you, I will not forget him.

Nadya, Justin and Matt- my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to you. I got to know Al when he worked at McCague Dale when we were going through CA school. Many fond memories and nights spent after studying at “Eddies” La Cote D’Azur and a highlight was attending your wedding and reception at Eddies. After I moved to Terrace we seemed to only connect occasionally  but I never forgot those years and great dinners we shared. 
Al passed far too early but likely now sharing a glass of wine with Eddie.

Dear Nadia & family, my deepest condolences on your loss.  Alvin was my best friend growing up in Winnipeg’s Elmwood neighbourhood.   Walking to school from kindergarten through high school  & regularly stopping at his mom’s for lunch,  or riding our bikes to the “Y” or to the park, or playing hockey in freezing weather on the outdoor rinks at Chalmers CC (Alvin was the only guy wearing a bright red helmet), to honouring me as the best man at my wedding over 40 years ago, we were the greatest pals back in the day.  Sadly, we lost touch, as friends sometimes do, when life happens & families grow. But, even though time & distance separated us, it was okay knowing Alvin was happy & thriving on the west coast. Rest peacefully my dear friend.  You will be missed but never forgotten.

To the Family  I wish to express my deepest sympathy.  There are no words to really describe such a wonderful man who was thoughtful, kind, caring and proud of his family and friends.  Always on top of each situation and offering sound advice to clients, friends and of course His Team!

Twenty-nine years ago, I retained Alvin as my corporate and personal accountant.  Over the years, he provided valuable advice for our three companies and personal estate planning. I will miss his wise counsel.

I had the privilege of meeting Al in the first couple years after he moved to Vancouver.  
Al had just completed his scuba course when we met through a dive shop.  A couple of weeks later, the two of us were in Port Alberni heading out to the Broken Group Islands.  During that drive he shared about how a family holiday to Vancouver in his teens helped him realize he had no choice but to move out to the west coast, the ocean and mountains.  We dove together for a couple decades, windsurfed, and even got Al waterskiing in the early morning before work in English Bay, and of course, snow skiing. Once our families came along, we carried on with both the water sports and ski trips together. So many happy memories. It has been fabulous having Al Dale as a great friend for the last four decades.  Miss you pal.
