Survived by her children Rose, Rachael (Norm) and Tony, granddaughters Talia and Deaven, sister-in-law Mary (Salvatore), sister Rosina, brother Bruno (Teresa) and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mom immigrated to Vancouver as a proxy bride in September 1956 and married Dad in October 1956. As divine providence would have it, Dad always said he was blessed with an amazing life partner. They settled in East Vancouver (3rd Ave. and Commercial Drive) for 28 years. Their first house even came with a car! They welcomed three children in four years, which kept them very busy! Mom always volunteered at our school events, like sports day and hot dog day and everyone thought she was our older sister! Their next move was to North Burnaby, where she resided for 40 years. For many years Mom enjoyed her daily walks throughout the Brentwood area, especially at Confederation Park where she met other energetic walkers, who became lifelong friends. Mom enjoyed coffee time with her friends after their walks. Mom’s cherished past times were shopping at her favorite downtown stores – Woodward’s, Eaton’s and the Bay, gardening, cooking and hosting her legendary Sunday family dinners. Mom & Dad enjoyed taking many road trips to the Oregon coast beaches and Palm Springs.
Mom was very proud of her children and her granddaughters’ passion for traveling, living and working in Europe and wanting to explore the world and to learn about their Italian heritage.
Mom will always be remembered as a humble, compassionate and graceful lady. We will miss her smile and hugs.
