My Dear Anna,

Anna and I have been friends since the first day of Grade 8 when Anna introduced herself to me.
I will miss you and remember you as a great loving friend. Enjoying and laughing (she was LOUD sometimes, especially when she laughed) also supporting and comforting each other throughout our lives as true friends did together!
My friend, we had a great time in New York City laughing so LOUD together, I told her that we would have to leave or be escorted out of the Museum of Modern Art if we didn't stop laughing so loud, we just couldn't understand or appreciate some of the art work! Anna only laughed LOUDER! I'm glad that we got to celebrate both our 50th birthday year together in New York City!

I'm sure everyone has a memorable or funny story with Anna. She touch many many peoples lives with her generosity of kindness, spirit of play and friendship! Anna, be proud of what you have done with your life and contributed in everybody's lives!
Thank you for your great loving friendship Anna, sharing your life, Vanessa, Chloe, Ken, family and your friends with me.

Anna, I met you at Safeway when I was just a teenager. Throughout the years, as I have grown and moved on, I still remember the advice you were always so ready to give me (both work related and personal). I want to thank you for those motherly moments. May God be with your family throughout this time, thoughts and prayers.

We knew we were best friends at the start. 
That first day of school,
will always stay in my heart.

We laughed, we shared, we cried.  
Even though we have been busy with our own lives and family,
You were still my best friend just like the first day we met.

Very sorry to hear about Anna. I sat two desks from her at Charles Dickens in grade 7 (1976).  We were acquainted again 30 years later thru mutual friends. I last saw Anna at the Walk for Cancer in 2012 where I saw her proudly being cheered and supported by her loving family and friends. Anna has made everyone around her stronger and braver from what I saw and felt that day. Her strength will be forever in everyones hearts. My sympathies and heartfelt thoughts to her family and many close friends.

Anna was a big part of my life for quite a few years.  We met in exercise class and soon became close friends.  Other than the two exercise classes we soon found other reasons to spend time together....shopping and eating out!  We spent most of our time together laughing.  She soon included me in outings with her family.  I always had fun spending time with her, Ken and Chloe.  I am comforted to see that her humour and her compassion will live on through her daughters Vanessa and Chloe.

I extend to all of you my deepest sympathy for you in your loss.  Death leaves a heartache that no person or words or offer of help can ever heal, but the love that you have for your mother and wife, and her love for you, leaves a memory that can never be taken away from you.  It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter, and although it may seem overwhelming right now, it will be these memories that will help to bring the smiles back again.  You were all that mattered to her, and the treasures that she was the most proud to have.

I was shocked to learn of Anna's passing, having known her since high school and graduating together. We lost touch for several years until my wife worked with her at the Safeway near UBC and they started talking, followed by being reconnected again. Odd how we all ended up working for the same employer. Anna had a special charisma in her personality along with her infectious smile and positive attitude, earning her a rightful title of "one in a million". My wife and I will sadly miss Anna, while our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go Ken, Vanessa, Chloe and all extended family members. Anna will sadly missed by so many, but will never be forgotten.

I worked with Anna at Safeway for many years and enjoyed very much being co-workers with her.  Even after leaving from Safeway, I was fortunate enough to have a mutual friend with Anna,  therefore,  we were able to meet up every so often,  weather going out to dinners or movies....It was VERY happy that I was able to re-connect with Anna again  (even after my Safeway days)  I will truly miss her.

Lamenting over your "always" cheerful smiling & laughter & our short but super-pleasant chats at the Safeway check-out!  You were always genuinely interested in how I was managing & never let on about any of your troubles. I worked with Anna and Ken at Safeway.  I also lived in Richmond and ran into Anna every now and again.  I was deeply saddened to hear of her death.  Her smile and her laughter are unforgettable!  My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Ken, Vanessa and Chloe.  She was a special person.

So sad to hear this. I got a call last night and couldn't believe it. Anna was a funny lady when i saw her at some friend's place we had a few laughs. She was an amazing person always a smile.My condolences to her husband Ken and all of her family.
