Annetta Cortese

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Annetta Cortese of Vancouver, B.C. She passed away peacefully on September 24th, 2021, at the age of 90. Annetta was born on March 5th, 1931, in San Nazario, Salerno, Italy. She was a devoted mother and Nonna who loved her family immensely. Annetta was predeceased by her husband Gennaro, parents Antonia and Donato, and brothers Giuseppe, Italo, and Benito. She will be greatly missed and always in the hearts of her adoring children Brigida (Jeremy), Deni (Gillian), Joseph (Deborah), Romano (Mary) and Roberto (Linda), twelve grandchildren Marisa (James), Emma, Andrew (Amanda), Antony, Emilia, Sarah, Nathaniel, Michael (Ashley), David (Taylor), Gino, Stefano, Sonia and her 3 great grand children Sofia, Skyler and Vincenzo, her sister Maria her many nieces and nephews, as well as many family and friends across Canada, United States, Italy, and Australia who all love her and miss her beyond measure. Many thanks to Villa Carital and a big thank you to Gabby for being there for mom. You made a huge impact in our family. Mom/Nonna, you will forever be in our hearts, and we will cherish the memories we shared.
