Anni Karundeng-Korompis, 84, passed into the welcoming arms of her Lord on November 10, 2010. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family and friends whom she touched throughout her life.
She was born on August 28, 1926 in Manado, Indonesia and married at 19. After her husband passed, she moved to Canada at the age of 49 to live with her children, devoting the rest of her life to raising her grandchildren and serving as the head of the family.
Anni was preceded in death by her loving husband and on November 26, they will be laid to rest together. She leaves behind six children, thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nine siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Anni will be remembered not only as a wonderful caregiver and cook, but for her deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, strong-willed mind and passion for life which lives on in the hearts and minds of those who love her most. Her endless energy and unconditional love for all her children will be missed dearly.
