It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio '˜Tony' Marchesini on November 26, 2014. Tony was born in Chiampo, Vicenza, Italy and died peacefully with his loving family by his side. He is predeceased by his parents Valentino and Edevigie Balsemina, brothers Vittorio and Giovanni. He is survived by his loving wife Caterina of 49 yrs, children Frank (Shayne), Michael (Michelle). He was adored by his grandchildren Adia, Isola, Justin and Sienna. Tony is also survived by siblings Luigina, Maria, Pierina and Rina. He was loved and will be missed by his Mother-in-law Maria Carmela Sabatino, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. A special thank-you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Burnaby General Hospital Palliative Care Unit and St. Michael's Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. St. Helen's Catholic Church 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby, BC.
