It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband and father, devoted nonno, son, brother and zio/uncle. Antonio (Tony) leaves behind Laura, his loving wife of 50 years; son Carlo (Tamara) and daughter Sonya (Andrew); grandchildren Antonio, Nicholas, Owen, Makenna and Elijah. He also leaves behind his brother Lucio (Armida), sisters Luciana (Saturnio) and Carla, and many nieces, nephews, their families and friends. He is now reunited with his parents Giovanni and Pierina, sisters Adriana and Lia (Mario) and brother-in-law Dino. Tony will always be remembered for his love of gardening, wine-making and incredible work ethic. He was an Honorary Member of the Italian Mutual Aid Society and a Donor Member of the Italian Cultural Centre. Our sincerest thanks to the staff at Fraser Health Home Support for their loving care and support. Prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 30th and Funeral Mass October 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 7455 10th Ave, Burnaby. A reception to follow at Ocean View Funeral Home at 4000 Imperial St, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Kidney Foundation or BC Cancer Agency would be appreciated.
