VYAS, (Raymond) Ashvin Rao, born February 19, 1953 in Ba, Fiji Islands. Mercifully released from the grip of cancer on May 15, 2010. he will be lovingly missed by his parents Kathleen Mary Vyas and Paras Rao Vyas, sisters Christine and Sandra, brother in-laws Solo and Richard, nephews and nieces Matthew, Joseph, Jasmine, Shireen and Kavita. Uncle, Aunts, Cousins in Canada, New Zealand and Australia. He will also be sadly misssed by his many wonderful and caring friends. Raymond attended Eric Hamber High School, Langara College and went on to a long and happy career as a Hairstylist. He was known for his great big smile and hearty laugh, he enjoyed music, had fond memories of fiji, could "swim like a fish" and had a great zest for life. he loved his family and friends very much and we loved him, we will never forget the way he could light up a room with his presence. The family would also like to thank Dr. Michael Lawrence, Dr. Larry Collins and the team of doctors and staff at Vancouver General Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC on Wednesday, May 26th, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 'Section of Tribute'.
