Baldino Friscioni

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and Nonno Baldino. He will be dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years Tonina, son Tony (Pamela), daughter Lina, grandchildren Doriana, Angela (Dario), Tonino, as well as many nieces and nephews both locally and in Italy. Baldino was born in Villa di Mezzo, Abruzzo immigrating to Vancouver in 1958 and joined by Tonina and Tony in 1959. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life tending to his vegetable garden, sharing a glass of his homemade wine, and making new friends along the North Burnaby walking trails. He was man of integrity, respect, and selflessness. Baldino's greatest love was his family and he cherished each day with them. His uplifting laugh and warm smile will remain with us always. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 3:00 pm-4:30 pm at Bell & Burnaby Chapel 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the next day at 10:00am on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Holy Cross Parish, 1450 Delta Ave, Burnaby, BC. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Creekside Mausoleum, Burnaby, BC. As per Baldino's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
