With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Bark Nen Chong. Born in Moy Kwok, Guangdong, China on December 12, 1932 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Vancouver, BC on June 10, 2025.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Tai Git in 2017 and his daughter Julia in 2013. He leaves behind his children May (John), Sonya (Derek) and Byron (Wendy); grandchildren Janine, Kady (Jordan), Jodi (Myles), Michelle (Sean), Brandon, Karyn and Tianna, and many cherished family and friends.
The family extends their sincerest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, staff, and wonderful care aids at West Coast In-Home Care, Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, St. Paul's Hospital, Holy Family Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital for their extended care.
We are grateful for the time we had with him and his memory will live on in our hearts always.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located at 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby BC. A burial will follow the service.
