Bruce passed away peacefully at the age of 50 years in St. Paul’s Hospital at 6:30pm on October 31, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.
Bruce’s friendly and engaging personality was evident in the variety of jobs he enjoyed over the years which included hotels, restaurants, airlines and cruise ships. A keen chef, Bruce loved to gift all his friends and co-workers with baked goods, pickles/relishes and sauces and even starred as a guest home cook on KCTS 9’s Family Favourites’ show.
His love of travel saw him work for a number of years in Australia and Bermuda as well as across Canada. Every destination was a new adventure in cultures and cuisine. An avid sports fan, Bruce enjoyed softball, bowling, running and badminton.
Bruce is survived by his father Donald, mother Anne, brother Dave, sister Susan and niece Emily. He will be dearly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life Reception for Bruce will be held at the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel in the Lockheed Room on Saturday, Nov 24th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
