Mr. Chor Wing Chiu

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved father on 1 December 2025. Born in 1932 in the village of San Jiang (三江), Guangdong, China, his life was a journey marked by resilience, sacrifice, and devotion to family.

Growing up in the aftermath of war, he left his home for Hong Kong with an older cousin to help support his family at a very young age. When his cousin later moved to Macau, he decided to stay in Hong Kong and faced life alone, relying on his own strength and determination—qualities that would define him throughout his years.

In Hong Kong, he met our mother, who became his lifelong partner and loving wife. Together, they built a family blessed with four children: Linda, David, Annie, and Michael. In 1974, guided by the hope of giving his children a brighter future, our parents made the courageous decision to move to Winnipeg, Canada. There, through hard work and perseverance, they built a new life formed by many lifelong friendships that brought joy to their lives. Their sacrifices and efforts created the foundation for the lives we cherish today.

Our father was predeceased by our mother 11 years ago, a loss he endured with grace and quiet strength. He is survived by his four children and two grandchildren, Lawrence and Rosanna, whom he proudly watched grow, marry, and establish families of their own. These milestones brought him immense joy and fulfilment.

Our father lived by the values of perseverance, humility, and filial devotion—virtues deeply rooted in our heritage. His life reminds us of the importance of family unity and honouring those who came before us. The legacy of our parents lives on in the opportunities they created, the friendships they nurtured, and the traditions they passed down.

We love you, Dad, and will miss you always. Your strength, kindness, and sacrifices will forever guide us. May you rest in peace, knowing that your dreams for us have come true. We will honour your memory and continue to uphold the family values you cherished. 永遠懷念、安息.
