Michelle, Lauren and Elise, please accept our most sincere condolences.  He will be deeply missed.   We were fortunate to have spend many years together since meeting back when Lauren was in Kindergarten.   We will miss going over for your BBQ’s and craft beers.  Rob will miss the walks.   Winnie, Rob and Kids.  

David was such a huge part of our "work family" at D-Wave.  He was an incredibly wonderful person to work with.  He was an absolute gem of a person; extremely intelligent, reliable, and always doing the right thing.  But most importantly, he valued Michelle and the girls above everything.  

His eyes would twinkle as he talked about what the girls were going to wear for Halloween, or what their weekend plans would be.  He always did his best to make sure he could take the girls to their various post-school activities.  He really treasured his family, and from the photos and stories, we can see that there are many precious memories.

We are so very sorry and saddened to hear about Dave’s sudden passing. Our deepest condolences to Michelle, Lauren, Elise & the Tai Family. We have very fond memories of Dave in the Parent & Tot Ballet class when our daughters were 2 years old. It was evident that he cherished every moment with his family. He had such a positive, kind and easy-going way about him which also shines through in the personalities of his beautiful daughters.

Dear Michelle, Lauren and Elise.  Our deepest condolences to your family on the sudden loss of Dave.  He and I meet many years ago when we both worked at Granville Toyota.  Our friendship strengthened and we would go on to work together for a few years at another company.  We spent some good times and trips together.  We were blessed to share the happy milestones as you got married and welcomed each of your daughters.   I am honored to have had the opportunity to meet such a friendly and generous soul. Dear Tai family,  My deepest condolences to your whole family.  I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.  I was extremely saddened to hear about David's sudden passing.  I met a lot of great people while working at Ballard and David was definitely one of them.  He was so funny, kind, helpful, easy to talk to, and definitely made the work week go by faster.  Our cubicles were right next to each other and we were both in the finance team.  We often chatted and sometimes grabbed coffee during lunch hour.  I remember we would exchange dating advice and I remembered seeing the extra sparkle in his eye when he met Michelle and how he quickly realized she was "the one".  A few years ago, we ran into each other again at Brentwood mall and it was so great to see him.  It felt like we were able to quickly pick up our right where we left off even though we haven't seen each other for a few years.    He was a great colleague and great friend and will be deeply missed by many.  May David rest in peace.   May our memories of David forever be in our hearts and be forever cherished.  Your family will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Deepest condolences to the Tai family - David's passing is incredibly sad news, and my heart goes out to all of you. 
David (my 'work husband') was a long term colleague at Ballard, and I have many fond memories of our time together, particularly the effort he put in to every detail of the wedding to ensure it was perfect. 
He was a very kind man, well liked by everyone, and I missed seeing him everyday when we moved on to other roles.

During our conversations we found out that we grew up in the same area and had many mutual friends.  He was a great person and an extremely kind person. I met Dave in elementary school and the last time I saw him was about 6 or 7 years ago. He was telling me how happy he was. 

I’m so sorry for you and your children’s loss. I will always remember him as the goofy funny guy cracking jokes and he will always be a part of my wonderful childhood memories.

Dave and I worked together very briefly at Ballard back in 2006/7, but I'll always cherish our time working together as teammates. 

I worked with David for a few years and while our relationship never expand beyond colleagues, I always thought highly of him. In our brief weekly encounters at work I could tell what a great person he was. I am so, so sorry to learn of this news and I am thinking of all his loved ones. 

Hi Michelle, Lauren and Elise.  We've known you guys since our girls were in pre-school at Killarney.  Although we never hung out but we became good hallway friends.  Dave, standing in the hallway with a smile and always so easy to start up a conversation with.  He indeed was a loving dad and was so present for the girls.  I'm still in disbelief and with a heavy heart I send my condolences.  I know it won't be easy for you and the girls but I already sense you're a tough cookie.  Please don't hesitate to reach out, we're just a few blocks away.

Dave was a part of my brothers group of tight knit friends from elementary school.   I have watch him grow up from a little kid, to becoming a responsible adult husband/father over the years.  

I will remember Dave as having a very witty sarcastic,  goofy humor to his character.    He was always smiling and making funny faces.  He will be sorely missed -  goodbye Dave.

Dear Michelle, Lauren, Elise and the Tai family,

I’m so sorry for your profound loss.  There are no words.  Dave was taken from you and us far too early, and far too young.

I remember so many things about Dave.  He used to let me borrow his computer in the early 1990s when I was in college and needed to draft my history and English essays.  It was the dot matrix computer / printer!  Since I hated to do my taxes, he would do them for me every year during my college years.  He was one of my brother’s elementary and high school friends who would call me by my family nickname “Car”.  I remember coming to your wedding at Stanley Park in 2007 and seeing your beautiful Tiffany ring.  I promised to babysit your young girls when they were small toddlers.

I am sending you warm hugs, strength and courage in the coming years.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.
