Davy Ka-Chun Shi

Davy Shi, born on December 4, 1933, in Canton, China, was the eldest child of Man Chung Shi and Lai Wah Tai. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and cherished memories. He passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025 at Sunrise of Killarney surrounded by his family.

Davy’s life was defined by dedication and perseverance. He attended the Chinese University in Hong Kong on a scholarship, earning a degree in economics and a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation from Australia before embarking on a successful career selling the first computer systems to major banks at Burroughs in the 1960’s and 1970’s. At Burroughs, he won the “Man of Year” award for his outstanding performance. He met and later married his wife Sophia in 1971 and was married for 54 years.

In 1973, after the birth of his daughter, Winnie, Davy made the courageous decision to immigrate from Hong Kong to Canada, where he pursued further professional growth, obtaining his Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation. His career flourished at Hostess Frito-Lay, where he worked as a cost accounting manager until his well-earned retirement in 1996.

Beyond his professional achievements, Davy was a passionate athlete. As a young man, he excelled in soccer and basketball, proudly playing on his university teams. His love for sports continued throughout his life, and he passed that enthusiasm on to his son, Alan, fostering a deep appreciation for athletics within his family.

Davy was a gentle, quiet spirit who never wished to trouble others. He carried deep concern for his children, always ensuring they had a strong foundation upon which to flourish in life. He took immense joy in bringing his family together, hosting many gatherings over the years with his siblings, nieces, and nephews, creating lasting bonds and cherished memories. In early 1980’s he also facilitated the immigration of his parents to Canada so that they could be close to family and took care of them in the final stages of their life.

Davy is survived by his beloved wife, Sophia, his children, Winnie and Alan, and his granddaughters, Jessica and Amanda. He is also survived by his siblings Shin Ngan, Cynthia, John, Lina, and Caroline—who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is predeceased by his brother, Peter.

悼念施家駿 (Davy Shi)

施家駿（Davy Shi）於1933年12月4日出生於中國廣州，是 施文中（Man Chung Shi）和 戴澧華（Lai Wah Tai）的長子。他是一位盡職的丈夫、父親和祖父，留下了仁慈、智慧和珍貴的回憶。他於2025年6月12日在他所住的養老院 Sunrise of Killarney 安詳離世，家人陪伴在側。

家駿的一生充滿了奉獻和毅力。他曾獲得獎學金在香港中文大學攻讀經濟學，畢業後在寶來電腦公司（Burroughs）開啟了成功的職業生涯，向各大銀行銷售首批電腦系統。在寶來公司期間，他因表現卓越榮獲「年度風雲人物」獎。他於1971年與相伴54年的妻子 吳淑芳（Sophia）相識並結婚。

1973年，女兒 施穎怡（Winnie）出生後，家駿勇敢地決定從香港移民加拿大，並在那裡繼續深造，考取了加拿大註冊會計師（CGA）資格。他的事業在Hostess Frito-Lay蓬勃發展，擔任成本會計經理，直至1996年光榮退休。

除了專業成就，家駿還是一位熱情的運動員。年輕時，他擅長足球和籃球，並為大學校隊效力。他對運動的熱愛始終如一，並將這份熱情薪火相傳給兒子施志衡（Alan），培養了家人對體育的深厚情感。

家駿性情溫和，與世無爭，從不願麻煩他人。他對子女關懷備至，始終為他們奠定堅實基礎，確保他們能在生活中茁壯成長。他非常享受天倫之樂，多年來與兄弟姐妹、侄女和侄子舉辦了許多聚會，維繫親情，建立了持久的連結和珍貴的回憶。1980年代初期，他更協助父母移民加拿大，讓他們能與家人團聚，並在父母生命的最後階段悉心照料。

家駿身後留下摯愛的妻子 吳淑芳（Sophia）、兒女 施穎怡（Winnie）和 施志衡（Alan），以及孫女 田晶晶（Jessica）和 田佩仙（Amanda）。此外，他的兄弟姐妹 施倩顏、施倩蓉（Cynthia）、施家聰 (John）、施倩瓊（Lina）和 施倩携（Caroline）將永遠懷念他。他的弟弟施家驥（Peter）已先行離世。
