Diane lost a courageous six month battle with cancer surrounded by her close family. She was predeceased by her father Richard and mother Josephine; sisters Marie (Frank), Lillian (Mort) and Linda; brothers Fred and Bill; brother-in-law Lorne; and infant sister Sylvia. She is survived by her husband Wayne; daughter Darcy (Sean); son Jeff (John); stepdaughters Colleen (Tony), Laureen (Kevin) and Diane (Jason); her sister Shirley and brothers Dick (Pauline) and John (Barbara); and her five grandchildren Kevin, Alyssa, Jacob, Jade and Stevie; brother-in-law Dan and sisters-in-law Bunny and Sandra; as well as her many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Caroline Wilkes and the Burnaby Home Health Nurses, Dr. John Hunter, and the staff of the BC Cancer Agency. In lieu of flowers a donation to the BC Cancer Agency would be appreciated. There will be a celebration of life for Diane on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC.
