Domenico Antonio Maselli

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Domenico, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was just shy of his 97th birthday. Domenico was born in Acquevive di Frosolone, Provincia d’Isernia and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He was predeceased by his daughter Luisa, wife Angiolina, parents Elisa and Donato Maselli and sister Angiolina. He is survived by his daughter Maria (Bill) Hamilton, granddaughter Angela (Michael) Barbero, grandson Ryan (Kimberly) Hamilton and great-grandchildren Lelia and Gabriel Barbero. He also leaves to mourn his brother Filippo (New York), sisters Felicetta (New York) and Giuseppina (Montreal) and several nieces, nephews and extended family members in Vancouver, Montreal, New York, Argentina and Australia.

Domenico will be remembered for his hard work ethic and devotion to his family, friends and neighbours. He loved motorcycles, playing bocce and tending to his beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. He always had a smile on his face and found great joy being a part of his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s lives.

The Family wishes to thank the staff of Seton Villa Retirement Home, Burnaby General Hospital Emergency, including Ward 4S and Fraser Health Care for their generous care and assistance in the final days of Dad’s life.

Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11am at St. Helen’s Parish, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at the Abbey, Ocean View Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC would be appreciated.
