Donna Shannon Bailey (Jung)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Donna.

Donna passed away peacefully with family at her side on March 5, 2017 in Vancouver, B.C.

Donna was born on June 9, 1951 in Toyshan, Canton, China, and was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas (Nick); father, Wah Yuen and mother, Sun Dip.

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Roy (Olivia), sisters Mona (Ray), Lana (Richard), Gina (Jerry) and Anna; her niece, Katherine and nephew, Oliver; her aunt, Betty; her uncles, Donald (Florence), and Daniel (Christine) and her cousins, Linda (Tom), Raymond (Eleanor), Gaile, William, Daniel (Lynn), Douglas (Erika) and David.

Donna was loved by everyone who met her for her cheerful personality, generosity, kind heart and beautiful smile.

A special thank you and acknowledgement to Aliza for the excellent care she provided as a companion for Donna during the past seven years.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you and appreciation to all of the wonderful Fair Haven United Church Homes, residential care staffs that were involved with Donna’s care, and to the VGH Intensive Care Unit team, Drs. Finlayson and Thomas, Michele and Nedine for their efforts, compassion and support.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honour of Donna S. Bailey to Fair Haven United Church Homes with the gift to be directed to Fair Haven Vancouver Lodge for their Quality of Life Programs (i.e. music and art therapy, entertainment, etc.).
