Dorotea Calaciura

Dorotea passed away peacefully on October 16,2024, in Burnaby, BC, at the age of 83 surrounded by the love and loyalty of her family. Dora was born June 9th, 1941, in San Cono, Catania, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1964. Dora will be remembered for being a strong, independent woman who loved sharing sage advice.

Mamma will be greatly missed by her devoted husband, Francesco, and her loving children Rosalia, Maria (Dino), and Armanda. Nonna is also survived by her grandchildren, Francesco, David, Miranda, Rebecca, Jacob, and Nicholas. Her sisters, Concettina and Teresa, will continue to fondly recall all their cherished memories. Mamma will also be missed by her sister-in-laws, Teresa and Maria, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing will be at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel on Thursday October 24, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 25, 2024 at 12:30pm at St. Helen's Parish (3860 Triumph St., Burnaby BC). Entombment at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum, Burnaby, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of BC would be appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com.
