Duke Dushan Adams passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years, surrounded by his family. True to his name, Duke really was the center of his family. He worked untiringly in his earlier years to provide for his loved ones and one would be hard pressed to find a more devoted husband, father, brother and friend. A man of many words, Duke's stories were legendary. From his soccer-playing high school days to nights out with 'the gang,' those that knew him marveled at his ability to recall even the smallest details with ease. He was the man everyone loved to be around and who brought people together in a way very few could. He was selfless and kind, and unabashedly proud of his family. Duke is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Anita; his son Lucien; his daughter Linda (Scotty); his grandchildren Lindsay (Michael) and Jennifer (Andrew); his great grandchildren Michelle, Olivia, Domenic and Ellie; his sisters Mary, Mimi and Olga; his brother Milan; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph St., Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
