Edith Marion Phillips (nee Brown) passed away on March 10, 2012 in Richmond, B.C. She leaves to carry on in her memory her son Jim Locke (Rhonda), stepdaughter Irene Sideris, grandchildren Scott Locke (Andrea), Kevin Locke (Leah), Breanne Locke, Katrina Sideris, Spiros Sideris, great-grandchildren Harrison and Amelia Locke and her sister Doreen Brown. She was predeceased by Emmeth Charles (Johnie) Phillips in 1982, her father Frank Christopher Brown in 1968 and her mother Agnes McKinnon Brown in 1978. She was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 17, 1920 and moved to Vancouver in 1938, where she worked for Eaton's, Burrard Shipyards and the Federal Income Department.
She was active in Beta Sigma Phi in Vancouver and Richmond until 2007. She was very creative in sewing, crafts and painting.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fraserview Care Lodge for taking such good care of our mother for the past few years.
A small graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 15th, 2012 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the section of 'Brookside'.
