Elena Ngan Ping Wong passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, aged 76 in Vancouver, BC, with her children by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ken. She is lovingly remembered by her son Justin (Leanne), daughter Jennifer (Mario), grandchildren, Felix and Elsa, as well as extended family and friends.
Elena lived a life characterized by selflessness, humility, and resilience. To her family, Elena was the most caring and dedicated mother and wife that anyone could hope for. Her quiet strength and determination carried the family through all of life’s many storms.
Her diligence also led to a 40-year career working as an accounts payable manager in downtown Vancouver for an international transportation and logistics company. After retiring, she and Ken traveled the world exploring new landscapes, experiencing different cultures, and making friends along the way.
A devoted Jehovah’s Witness, her life was guided by faith and love. Despite a number of health issues, her faith and service to Jehovah never wavered. She loved flowers, arts and crafts, and singing. Her repertoire of songs included classic oldies, Cantopop ballads, and show tunes. Her gentle presence and beaming smile will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
A private inurnment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park followed by a celebration of life with family and friends beginning at 3:30 pm on Saturday January 24, 2025, at Creekside Community Recreation Centre, 1 Athletes Way, Vancouver, BC.
