Sept 1948- Sept 2022
Emily passed away with courage, dignity and selflessly attending to other’s needs. She leaves the sons she loved and cared so much for, Stephen (Colin) and Brian (Bernadette). Emily is survived by her nephews James and Jeffrey St. Don, her sister Darlene and niece Julie. Emily was predeceased by her father, Kenneth Reid, and mother, Dorothy Reid. Emily worked for the Department of Justice in Vancouver as a federal prosecutor after graduating from Queens University Law School and being called to the Bar In BC. During her career she served as President of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and as a Bencher for the BC Law Society. She received her Queens Counsel in the 1990’s and with great pride donned her silk robes. Emily was relentless in her pursuit of justice and there is a huge hole now in the world of integrity, ethics and truth. Emily had many passions, from gardening, her many dogs, to sporting events. She was interested by everything and everyone.
