It is with deep sadness that we announce that our papà Ferdinando Flaim passed away on September 25th 2016 at the age of 81. He was born in Romallo (Trento), Italy. Ferdinando will be deeply missed by his loving wife Maria and their children Robert (Carey), Laura (Marco) and Mark. He is also survived by his grandchildren Daniel, Isabella, Emily, Carolyne and Ava as well as his siblings Carmen, Pio and Rosanna, and many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and Italy. He will be remembered for his faith and dedication to his family and loyalty to his friends. He was a passionate man, who took great pride in his work, his involvement in church/folk choirs and his gardening. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30th at 11:00am at Saint Helen's Church. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 29th at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Vancouver General Hospital will be appreciated.
