Gerardina Moscato

September 17, 1938 - April 4, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerardina, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Predeceased by her parents Umberto and Maria Filomena and her sisters Maria and Elena. Gerardina will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of 61 years, Vincenzo, her children Sabato (Antonella), Raffaelina (Vincenzo), Rosalba (Rick) and Maria Luisa, her grandchildren Michele (Kelly), Mirella (Geremia), Vincenzo (Andrea), Deanna, Enzina (Gerry), Nicola, Ashley, Kelsey, Kaylee and Jordan, her great-grandchildren Michela, Alessia, Olivia, Nicola, Leo, Valaria, Eva, Jacob and Sofia her brother Giovanni (Maria) and also many relatives and friends here and in Italy. Her family would like to thank the staff involved in her care at St. James Cottage Hospice for their support and compassion during this difficult time. Prayers will be offered on Thursday, April 12th, at 7:30 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 555 South Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 13th at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, (South Mausoleum) 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of BC in Gerardina's name are appreciated.
