It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Giovanna Di Tomaso of Burnaby, B.C. Giovanna was born February 22, 1932 in Casacalenda, Campobasso, Italy. She passed away peacefully on June 18, 2021. Giovanna is predeceased by her loving husband Antonio, her parents Michele and Lucia DiLalla and her sister Maria Cerilli. She will be greatly missed and always in the hearts of her adoring children, Maria (Claudio) and Silvio (Mona), as well as her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Vanessa (Cory), Anthony and Braden. Giovanna is also survived by her brother-in-law Giusino and many nieces and nephews who all love her and miss her beyond measure. Many thanks to ward 2D-Palliative Care at Burnaby Hospital. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at a visitation to be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 7-9pm at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel. Due to current restrictions, a private funeral will be held at Holy Cross Parish on Wednesday, June 30th and her final resting place will be at Ocean View Abbey Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
