'Giovanni Battista Traversa would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call that he couldn't refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. A reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. This reunion will take him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, dancing and gardening to his heart's content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed and the Food is delicious! Giovanni would like his family and friends to celebrate his life as he will be doing!' Giovanni is survived by his loving family, wife of 50 years; Rosetta and children; Nadia, Riccardo and Silvia; daughter-in-law; Shari; and grandchildren; Taylor, Justin, Tia and Anthony, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Giovanni passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side and will be forever in our hearts and dearly missed. A viewing will be held from 11:30am-1:00pm on June 17, 2017 at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby.
