SMALDINO, Giuseppe - With profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, devoted father, and proud nonno on February 12, 2018. He passed away surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83. Born in Sammichele di Bari, Italy on November 11, 1934. Giuseppe is survived by Margherita, wife and companion of 58 years; children Domenic, Angela Cusano, Elisabeth Iuele (Franco), Giovanni and Mario. grandchildren Marcello, Loredana, Gianmarco and Matteo. We are grateful to our wonderful family and friends for their love and support here and in Italy; heartfelt thanks Dr. Randall Moore and nursing staff at Vancouver Hospice.
Prayer service will be held on Thursday February 15, 2018 at 8:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 555 Slocan St. Vancouver. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at the Ocean View Burial Park South Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donation to the Vancouver Hospice would be appreciated. Arrivederci Papà .
