WARD, Gladys We lost our beloved mom December 22, 2010. She was born in Nelson, BC January 25, 1923. The family moved to Victoria, BC where she finished school at Strawberry Vale in Saanich. She was married to Don Ward until his passing in 1978. They moved to Vancouver in 1946 where they raised their 2 daughters Jeanette and Lucille and 1 son Greg Ward, who predeceased her, January 2010. Gladys worked at the Dairy Queen on Victoria Drive for 20 years, retiring at age 67. Don and Gladys were members of the Airport Yacht Club enjoying many friends and boating adventures. Her 2 daughters were with her every day the last 2 years as she was confined to a wheelchair. The last 14 months she resided at Banfield Pavilion where she was lovingly cared for and made many friends. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Jeanette (Bob) Dimick, Lucille (Walt) Wicks, granddaughter Kim (Greg) Logsdon, grandson Joe (Shelley) Cameron and 7 great-grandchildren. Also, 20 beloved nieces and nephews. Interment at Ocean View Cemetery, Wednesday, December 29th, 10 a.m.
