It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harreson Ranger on September 12, 2025, in East Vancouver, BC. Born on October 19, 1943, in Vancouver, Harreson lived a life marked by creativity, craftsmanship, and quiet generosity.
Harreson was a qualified welder, autobody repair man, and log salvager. He is best known and cherished for his work as a professional artist. As a gifted painter, stained glass instructor, wood carver, furniture builder, and sculptor, Harreson’s artistry touched many lives and leaves a lasting legacy. His creative works adorn our homes and were even purchased by Royalty. His wit and dry humour will be missed.
He now sings and plays guitar for his beloved parents, Marko and Josphine Uzelac, and his dear sister, Kathrine McLean. Harreson is survived by his older brother George (Sharon), younger brother Milan (Marva) as well as his nieces, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephew - several of whom Harreson had convinced he was an actual pirate when they were young children! Harreson will be remembered by family and friends with love and admiration.
Our family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the extraordinary team at Lakeview Care Centre. Your unwavering kindness, compassion, and commitment to Harreson’s comfort and well-being over the past few years have meant the world to us.
A viewing will be held at Bell Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC, on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Join us at Harreson’s final Art Exhibition afterwards, upstairs at Bell Burnaby Funeral Chapel.
