They were married for 49 years and raised 3 children in North Vancouver.
Hermann's passion for serving people led him into the hotel business, where the idea of Hermann's Jazz Club took root, eventually leading it to become the longest running establishment in Canada, in the heart of downtown Victoria. Hermann leaves behind, his loving family, daughter Ingrid Reid and husband Fraser and their sons Tyler and Cameron, and sons Edward and wife Amanda and their sons Erik and Markus and youngest son Stephan and his sister Paula Voss in Bilk, Germany.
