Irene passed away after a long battle with cancer. She leaves her best friend and husband of 58 years, Jack Muir, daughters Wendy (Gerry) Williams and Heather (Holger) Gruenberg, grandsons Kyle (Cathleen) and Dale Williams. She will also be missed by her brother Ray (Frieda), sisters Jean (Matt) and Denise, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Irene worked as a telephone operator in Bralorne, B.C. and a sales associate at Eaton's Brentwood in Burnaby for over 27 years. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23rd at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. If attending Irene's farewell gathering, please bring a smile.
