Johnny Yat Kun Chan passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 11th, 2025 at Minoru residences. He is predeceased by his wife Dolly and 2 brothers. He will always be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his children: Pat (George), Des (Kelly), Jenny, Renée; grand-children Jackie (Alex), Roger (Daniela), Jimmy (Silvia), Jason (Anna) and Connor; and his great grand-children Robin, Noemi, Maelle, Lara, Elias, Oliver, Yerielle and Jayce.
Johnny was born on October 13th, 1919 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He married Dolly Ho Yee in 1950, and had 4 children. Johnny and his family immigrated to Canada in 1978. First living in Toronto and then settling in Richmond, British Columbia.
Celebration of Life will take place at the Reception Room at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby on Friday, January 24, 2025 between 7 to 9 pm. Please note there will not be a service beforehand.
